Logo and Branding for Vintage Vibes Cafe

Telling stories through color, texture, and timeless charm.

Project Overview

Vintage Vibes Cafe is a cozy, retro-themed coffee house aiming to blend nostalgia with modern comfort. This branding project brought to life the cafe's vintage soul through logo design, visual storytelling, and consistent identity.

Objectives

Logo Design

Multiple vintage sketches were created — each blending hand-drawn illustrations and serif typography. The chosen logo features a steaming coffee cup and elegant cursive beneath the bold “Vintage Vibes” typeface.

Brand Guidelines

A detailed brand guide was developed, outlining use of colors (#FAF3E0, #6B4C3B), fonts (Playfair Display, Quicksand), spacing, and logo lockups for consistency across signage, print, and digital.

Digital Assets

Included all logo variations, textured backgrounds, mockups, and optimized formats for web and print use.

History of the Logo Design Process

Initial Concepts

The process began with visual exploration — posters from the 50s, retro coffee ads, vintage menus. Fonts and colors were tested digitally and on paper to find the right emotional tone.

Refinement

Symbols like steaming cups, cafe signs, and sunbursts were experimented with. Warm hues, textures, and serif font combinations were locked in to emphasize nostalgia.

Final Result

The final logo balances playfulness with heritage — soft curves, textured ink look, and a symmetrical layout ideal for packaging and signage.
